AIKEN QUEER YOUTH GROUP

The Aiken Queer Youth Group (AQY) is a welcoming, safe, and inclusive space where LGBTQIA+ students, grades 6–12, can connect, build relationships, and foster a strong sense of community. The club will meet bi-monthly and offer a variety of activities, including open and guided discussions, arts and crafts, outings, and community service projects, providing members with opportunities for self-expression, connection, and engagement.

Step into the spotlight—or cheer from the crowd—at Provisions Open Mic, every 3rd Tuesday at Urban + Rural. This is your chance to vibe with Aiken’s creative scene and experience an unforgettable night of raw talent, bold expression, and feel-good energy. Whether it’s music, poetry, comedy, or storytelling, each performer gets 5–10 minutes to light up the mic. Cozy refreshments like coffee, tea, and sodas will be available for purchase.

Join us for an intimate, open-spirited figure drawing night designed to sharpen your hand and open your eye. Each session features a live, nude model, posed and shaded under dramatic lighting to bring dynamic energy and form to life on your page. Whether you're a beginner, a practicing artist, or just ready to reawaken your sketching instincts, local artist A.C. Daniel will offer advice, encouragement, and personal feedback throughout the night. Bring your own supplies — We’ll bring the space, the subject, and the energy.
